We all have our own ways of getting rid of depression, right? Some cry, some scream, some eat...mine is my monkey shake. It's a ridiculously healthy shake with chocolate, bananas, milk and ice. 'Nuf said. Now, the real question is, why are we depressed? Hmmm...
Anyhow, today I woke up. At eleven. That's over than twelve hours of sleep. And terribly unhealthy. The cause? Obvious! It's none other than the dreaded...SUMMER PE. So, I roll over, waddle to the bathroom (I can't walk; too sore for that crap), and then head downstairs. Of course, we have family over, so everyone gets to see me looking like crap.
My hair - which I pulled back in the bathroom - is sticking up all over in my ponytail and my clothes are rumpled, and I'm slouching and yawning. They're all too nice to say anything though, which - in a way - makes it a whole ton worse because you know they're thinking about it but they don't want to say anything.
My breakfast? The breakfast of champions! A pop-tart and Frito's! Yum! That earned me some teasing, of course. Then, my brother tells me that my friend, McKenzie (Which one? The one from school! Which school? The one that I just got out of! Der!), but he didn't answer because he didn't want to talk to anyone because he's anti-social (actually, he's the most social person I know. He can't go a day without seeing his friends. It totally bugs me.).
So, I finish my breakfast and go check my messages. Sure enough, she called. Being the incredibly nice person I am, I called her back and we talked for a tad. And after that, my mother told me we were going swimming! Yay! However (kudos to Ms. Rodgers, my English teacher! I'm using a scholarly voice!), I have my lovely Aunt Flo (Joy) over for a visit, so I was unable to attend. Which is why I'm home all alone right now :_(. Ah well. Don't cry for me all!
So, that answers the question of why I'm depressed, and am sipping at my shake now :).
