Is it possible to be depressed in Hawaii?

Yes. Yes, yes, it is. It actually is. Listen to this:

Actually, the first time I was depressed here lasted for about two hours. It was in Oahu. At Pearl Harbor. But, I think that's only expected... I mean... 2400 men did die there. So... you know... it was just a little (*coughs* A FREAKING WHOLE LOT) depressing. I'll admit it - I didn't cry at first, but when we got to the actual memorial, I was practically sobbing. The saddest part (at least for me) was one of the displays. It was about a soldier on the USS Arizona writing letters home to his wife... in the first one, he asked his 'darling' asked if he was a 'poppa' yet. In the second one, he told his 'darling' he wished he could see his baby girl. In the third one (dated December 2nd, 1941), he told his 'darling' that he hoped he was coming back to the states soon, because he hated not having seen his baby girl yet. (For those of you who don't know, December 7th, 1941 was when Pearl Harbor was attacked, and the USS Arizona was sunk. The soldier who wrote those letters was killed in action. On December 7th.) Now, if that didn't break you up, you're a mean, cold-hearted person. SERIOUSLY! Can you even imagine never getting to see your baby girl?! It's just AWFUL! So, I think my depression there is completely, fully, and totally justified.

Anyway, I think that right now is also justified. Apparently my friends are just betraying me left and right. (Alright - so far as I know, only two of them have - but I mean - c'mon. I've only been gone for, like, five days. Why is everything falling apart? Am I not allowed to take vacations?) SO, I think that this depression is also justified - I mean, how many times have YOUR friends turned on YOU? It's really... hard... to get it off of your mind. So far food hasn't helped much. And I have writers' block. And it's too dark to go to the beach. And I don't feel like exercising... and it's waaaaaaay too early to go to bed. I'm thinking right now that I should find some TV show. Starz plays funny kid shows at night... hmmm...
